## Overview
Fixinc delivers corporate resilience services built around a lifecycle of analysis, design, enablement, and validation. Programs are adapted to each organisation's context rather than delivered as fixed packages. Services support organisations responding to new regulations, preparing for disruption, or strengthening existing resilience foundations.

Each offering is composed of specific "disciplines" - focused work components such as impact analyses, plans, training, and exercises that make resilience measurable and operational.

For a detailed breakdown of all resilience disciplines:

- [Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/disciplines.md): All resilience disciplines and component activities.

## Service Principles
Resilience programs are informed by experience across organisations that face complex risk, regulatory, and operational demands. Services aim to:

- Integrate with existing organisational structures, tools, and regulatory requirements
- Provide clear validation through exercises, tests, and structured reviews

## Core Resilience Service Areas
Fixinc groups its work into nine core corporate resilience service areas. Each area is made up of defined disciplines that can be combined or delivered as standalone components depending on requirements.

### Emergency Management
Emergency Management services focus on building response capabilities for immediate, life-safety and site-level events. Key objectives include:

- Developing emergency response plans and programs tailored to sites and operations
- Designing and documenting evacuation plans
- Training and preparing teams to act in early-stage emergencies
- Integrating response technology for alerting, coordination, and escalation

Emergency Management includes seven distinct disciplines that cover planning, documentation, training, and validation activities:

- [Emergency Management Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/Emergency-Management.md)

### Business Continuity
Business Continuity services support the full continuity lifecycle, from impact analysis through planning and scenario testing. Programs usually cover:

- Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to understand critical processes, dependencies, and recovery priorities
- Development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans for key functions and services
- Scenario-based exercises to validate plans, decision-making, and communications
- Ongoing refinement of continuity frameworks and governance

Business Continuity is structured into eight disciplines, enabling organisations to start with core components and expand into a full program over time:

- [Business Continuity Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/business-continuity.md)

### Crisis Management
Crisis Management services focus on organisation-wide events that affect reputation, governance, strategic decisions, and cross-functional coordination. Core elements include:

- Designing or reviewing Crisis Management plans and playbooks
- Defining roles, decision structures, and escalation criteria for crisis teams
- Conducting scenario exercises to test crisis leadership, communication, and decision-making
- Integrating crisis arrangements with emergency, incident, and business continuity structures

Crisis Management comprises five disciplines that support both plan development and validation:

- [Crisis Management Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/crisis-management.md)

### Incident Management
Incident Management services help organisations coordinate structured responses to operational incidents that may not reach full crisis level but still require organised command, control, and communication. Work typically covers:

- Reviewing and improving incident management documentation and procedures
- Training teams in structured incident management methods and tools
- Running exercises and simulations to test team performance
- Deploying or integrating incident technology where appropriate

Incident Management consists of six disciplines that build maturity from basic incident response through to coordinated, multi-team incident operations:

- [Incident Management Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/Incident-Management.md)

### New Zealand CIMS
New Zealand CIMS services support organisations operating within, or alongside, the national Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS). Programs include:

- CIMS-3rd-Edition aligned training for individuals and teams
- Guidance on operating in multi-agency or cross-organisation incident environments
- Development or alignment of internal structures and documentation to CIMS principles
- Exercises to test coordination and information flow across agencies and partners

This service area includes four disciplines that support both foundational learning and operational integration:

- [New Zealand CIMS Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/new-zealand-cims.md)

### IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR)
ITDR services address the recovery and continuity of technology platforms and services, covering infrastructure, applications, data, and supporting processes. Programs aim to:

- Analyse critical systems, dependencies, and recovery time and point objectives
- Design and maintain IT disaster recovery plans and procedures
- Test specific components (e.g., backups, failover, system restores) through structured exercises
- Prepare teams through ITDR-focused training, tabletop scenarios, and live tests
- Align ITDR work with wider business continuity and cyber response structures

ITDR is structured into fifteen disciplines, enabling granular planning, testing, and capability-building:

- [ITDR Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/itdr.md)

### Desktop Scenario Exercise
Desktop Scenario Exercise services provide structured validation of plans and programs using realistic but controlled scenarios. These exercises are used to:

- Test documentation, decision pathways, and role clarity without operational disruption
- Explore gaps in plans, information, or coordination between teams
- Build confidence in leadership and operational teams through practice
- Improve cross-functional understanding of how different plans and disciplines connect

Desktop Scenario Exercise is positioned as a validation layer rather than a standalone planning activity. It supports multiple service areas including Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Incident Management, Emergency Management, and ITDR:

- [Desktop Scenario Exercise Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/scenario-exercise.md)

### ISO 22301:2019 – Security and Resilience
ISO 22301:2019 services support organisations implementing or maintaining a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) aligned with the international standard. Activities typically include:

- Designing BCMS frameworks that meet ISO 22301:2019 requirements
- Supporting gap analyses, readiness assessments, and remediation planning
- Guiding internal audit programs and evidence preparation
- Aligning documentation, training, and tests with the standard
- Supporting organisations seeking certification, recertification, or regulatory alignment

ISO 22301:2019 services are organised into ten disciplines, covering framework design, implementation, auditing, and continuous improvement:

- [ISO 22301 Disciplines](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/iso22301.md)

## Program Lifecycle and Ways of Working
Resilience services follow a consistent lifecycle while remaining flexible to each organisation's circumstances. This lifecycle is often delivered as a structured program, with clear stages and measurable outcomes.

### 1. Review and Health Check
Programs typically begin with a focused review or health check of existing resilience arrangements. This includes:

- Assessing current emergency, incident, crisis, continuity, and ITDR capabilities
- Identifying gaps, overlaps, and priority risks
- Reviewing key documentation, governance structures, and available evidence
- Providing a summary of current state and practical next steps

### 2. Tailored Solutions
Based on review findings, Fixinc designs solutions that follow resilience best practice while reflecting the realities of each organisation's:

- Risk profile and threat landscape
- Regulatory obligations and industry expectations
- Internal capacity, tools, and technology
- Culture, decision-making structures, and existing programs

Components from the nine core services and their disciplines are combined into a fit-for-purpose program.

### 3. Ongoing Support
Support typically extends beyond formal project boundaries, recognising that resilience is a continuing capability. Support can include:

- Advice and guidance during incidents, crises, or audits
- Periodic reviews and updates to plans and frameworks
- Additional training or exercises as teams, systems, and risks evolve
- Assistance integrating new regulations, technologies, or business models into resilience structures

## The Tungsten Diamond Model
Fixinc uses the Tungsten Diamond as a framework for understanding and assessing organisational resilience across the full spectrum from planning to real-time response. The model:

- Maps key elements of corporate resilience, including compliance, planning, validation, and incident response
- Helps frame conversations about where current strengths and gaps sit across the spectrum
- Links advisory work, technology, and governance with operational response and leadership
- Positions the Advisory Board and supporting services at the upper end of response, while Advisory and Directory services support ongoing planning and improvement

For a dedicated explanation of the model:
