## Project Overview

**Client**: Stride Property Group

**Start Date**: April 2024

**Services Used**:
- [Emergency Management](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/Emergency-Management.md)
- [Executive Resilience Training](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/executive-resilience-training.md)
- [Business Continuity](https://docs.fixinc.io/service/business-continuity.md)

## The Challenge

[Stride Property Group](https://strideproperty.co.nz/) manages a broad portfolio of retail and commercial properties across [New Zealand](https://docs.fixinc.io/country/new-zealand.md). From high-traffic shopping centres to premium office buildings, each site operates with its own team, layout, and rhythm.

Like many property operators, Stride had foundational emergency management and business continuity measures in place including security protocols, evacuation plans, and facility management ownership. However, these documents and strategies did not always match the day-to-day reality at site level. With multiple teams, frequent staff turnover, and various levels of preparedness across locations, Stride needed a way to validate, update, and simplify its plans without creating confusion or resistance from the people already keeping things running.

## The Approach

Fixinc took a low-disruption, high-trust approach to helping Stride evolve its resilience capability. The engagement began with onsite evaluations, visiting malls, offices, and mixed-use sites to understand how operations actually functioned. Fixinc spoke with facility managers, reviewed emergency documentation, and observed real workflows.

Rather than replacing existing plans, the focus was on alignment:

- Identifying where current procedures could be enhanced rather than reworked
- Updating plan structures to make them easier to use and share
- Introducing [Emergency Management Training](https://docs.fixinc.io/disciplines/emergency-management-training.md) that built on what staff already understood
- Preparing for future validation through targeted [Operational Team Exercises](https://docs.fixinc.io/disciplines/operational-team-tabletop-exercise.md)

Early discussions also began around [F24 technology](https://docs.fixinc.io/technology/f24.md) implementation, exploring how Stride could eventually roll out a digital emergency management platform without overwhelming teams or introducing systems before readiness. This staged approach was critical as technology would only work if the human side was ready first.

## The Outcome

Stride now has greater clarity across its emergency and continuity plans, with improved consistency between buildings without disrupting what already works. Facility managers remain in control. Security and site teams are more informed. Conversations about [digital coordination tools](https://docs.fixinc.io/technology.md) like F24 are happening with buy-in, not resistance.

Fixinc continues to support Stride with plan refinement, team training, and long-term implementation planning, helping one of New Zealand's most visible property groups evolve its resilience one building at a time.
